At last, it’s an RPG adventure game where you play as a cat. By definition, BlueTwelve Studio‘s Stray is officially a third person adventure game, but we all know that it’s actually a third cat adventure game, right?
Not yet released but coming in early 2022 according to HKDevBlog’s Twitter, Stray has you enter into a futuristic world as a cat that’s lost and injured and trying to find it’s way home to it’s family. Limping your way through the opening scenes of the Gameplay Walkthrough video below, you’ll see that you’ll need to adapt and navigate your way through a stylistically Blade Runner-esque world where you will need to solve puzzles and collect resources to help you through. Along the way you’ll meet some helpful and maybe not so helpful robots/cyborgs so you’ll need to rub against strangers wisely. After all, a cat may have nine lives but how far will that take you in Stray? For now, we’ll just have to wait until 2022 to find out. And then, the world will be your litterbox!
